Once you've acquired the Mask, after completing the tutorial. Head back into a cloud of Miasma gas and drain the 4 minutes of air down to 00:00 and leave the Miasma before being knocked out.
Note: The mask timer will only run down when you are moving. Standing still will pause the timer. I just ran into a wall for 4 minutes and left the Miasma to get this to pop.

Best to do this before you start upgrading your mask! Each upgrade will increase the time by 2 minutes!
