How to unlock the Pump my Ride achievement in Horizon Chase Turbo - Definitive Guide

The first place to get an "upgrade" is the 4th city in the California map, "Death Valley". Finish 3rd or better in the race, then select which upgrade you want for the achievement to pop. I recorded a 3rd place time of 1:47.62 which allowed me to get this achievement.

Each location hast three places and when you complete all (besides the results) another fourth place below the other three will be unlocked as an "upgrade race".
Race there and if you finish 5th or better you will unlock and upgrade for all of your cars.
You can pick one of three types so choose wisely.

You get to install an upgrade after you finish in at least 3rd in a upgrade race.
