How to unlock the Terror of the road achievement in HOT WHEELS UNLEASHED 2 - Turbocharged - Definitive Guide

Multiplayer (atleast 2 people)
This Achievement can be done in a PRIVATE LOBBY with atleast 2 people.
I created a Boosting Track called: TerrorTA
  1. Choose TRACK BUILDER from the main menu (HOME)
  2. Choose COMMUNITY TRACKS
  3. Press cn_back to search (Filters) for a Track
  4. Search (Filters): Name = TerrorTA / Tag 1 = High speed / Tag 2 = Speedrun / Environment = Any
  5. Press cn_X to add to favorite tracks
  6. Press cn_B two times to go back to the main menu (HOME)
Choose MULTIPLAYER from the main menu (HOME)
  1. Press cn_back to open your Friends list or Press cn_Yto open the In-Game Party (NOT Xbox Party) and Press cn_RB to open your Friends list
  2. Press cn_A to invite the person you want to invite
Now with a (in-game) Party of atleast 2 (bottom left of your screen)
As the Party Leader
  • Choose PRIVATE LOBBY: Mode = Quick Race / Track = Lobby host / Tier = Any / Collisions = Off
  • Press cn_start to create the lobby
As the Lobby Host
Repeat these 3 steps after every Race.
  1. Press cn_Y to open the Community tracks
  2. Press cn_RB to go to the Favourites tab
  3. Choose your Boosting Track (TerrorTA)
Single Player (solo)
A good single Player alternative is to do this:

In the main menu (HOME)
Choose QUICK MODES
Choose SINGLE PLAYER
Choose Quick Race
Choose the Track called "Spinning Golf" ( "01" in the Mini Golf Course tab)
Choose your Vehicle

Track takes around 2 mins in a fast Vehicle, i did it with a Ultimate upgraded STH Twin Mill (maybe more in a normal/slow Vehicle) ((STH = Super Treasure Hunt))

2min = 1 Race = 1,500 Coins
1hour = 30 Races = 45,000 Coins (with no loading Times, so maybe around 40,000 Coins)

I believe that "Elimination" race mode does _not_ count towards this achievement (even though the top three appear on a podium at the end). In other words, you must use "Quick Race" mode.

Regarding the single player method... If you're also trying to earns coins during this grind, at the end of each race, be sure to choose the Select Track option instead of Restart.

Restart is faster, but you won't get the coins for each race. I missed out on ~40k coins before realizing this, so heads-ups!

You can earn money and XP by doing this in MP (private races) but it's like the game detects rubber banding. I tested this by simply holding RT on my created track (a large loop) and got no XP etc

Then tried with the same car, same track etc but this time I hold RT for ~5s then released and pulled RT again for ~5s and kept doing that

This time I did get money and XP etc. The race takes a few seconds longer but worth it to get the money, XP and even progress towards the cumulative boost achievement

I did single player method with ultimate upgraded koenigsegg I could get race done in 1:50seconds.

You get money from Private matches if they last long enough if you drive straight to the end it’s zero

This can be semi-idled too by enabling all the assists (steering, throttle, etc) if you're doing the solo method. At the start of the race you just need to press RT for a second and then you can let go and the game will play itself for you the rest of the race. Doing the same race over and over does get a little boring, so this at least let's you do other things in the meantime.

To make this even more low effort, go into the settings and enable the accessibility options that will essentially have the car drive itself.

In the main menu (HOME)
Choose QUICK MODES
Choose SINGLE PLAYER
Choose Quick Race
Choose the Track called "Spinning Golf" ( "01" in the Mini Golf Course tab)
Choose your Vehicle

You must accelerate at the starting line of each race but after that, the car will move by itself and if you're playing on easy mode, win every race. Then, you can choose "select track" to ensure you collect XP and coins before starting the race over again.

It took my automatic vehicle just over 2 minutes per race.

This worked a treat. Had it running in the background while I did other stuff. I was at about 60 races done when I had completed the campaign and then used the above method for the remainder. Minor extra tips, switch off rumble, open up achievement tracking and set timer for 45mins to go and check shop for STH cars.

After completing the story and earning online trophies, you should have around 50-60 podiums.
Fastest boost:
1. Go to quick modes - single player - quick race
2. Choose the 3rd race in the backyard called "Welcome Back-Yard!"
3. We drive it. Depending on the chosen car, the race is completed in 1:30-1:40, being the fastest. Online there are shorter ones, but there is a lot of waiting for the start/finish
4. After winning, do NOT press restart under any circumstances, otherwise the counter will not update, but go to the track selection and restart the race

For boosting I liked the Spinnig Golf track more, there are bumpers along its entire length, no jumps, etc. With all the driving assists turned on, you can just hold down and a cross with a rubber band and the car itself will complete the race in about 2 minutes. The only thing is: you will still have to restart the mission after winning.
