You obtain gears by dismantling vehicles in your collection. Press RT to dismantle the selected vehicle. You also obtain gears through rewards in the campaign.
Dismantling common vehicles awards 50 gears, rares award 100, and dismantling legendary vehicles awards 200.
2500 gears won’t take long to obtain however the other two gear related achievements that are unlocked for 10000 and 25000 gears are definitely going to take some time.
