Map: any, I used the marina
Game mode: Barrel Barrage
Difficulty: normal
Laps: 3
You as well as your opponents will get 1 barrel for every checkpoint that you reach in time. So for the first checkpoint, just race ahead. Afterwards, slow down and don't drive directly behind any opponent, they can drop a barrel at any time! I personally raced the first 2 laps at a slow pace, but afterwards sped up. I'm pretty sure that if you dont reach the checkpoint in time, you only do not get a barrel. Keep in mind it is just finish, not win!

Provided you have a boosting partner or second controller, you can also do this online on a one lap race against zero AI. The dummy controller can time out as you coast around the lap without any obstacles.

I personally would pick Castle Funfair as the track. Much easier track to do this achievement on than the Marina.
