At the moment it's not the servers that are the problem, it's the noobs.

Simply playing an online race doesn't seem to be enough. You actually need to place without a DNF.

Complete a single online race. You can do this in private and public matches alike. Private matches are easier because you can start with 2 players already, while public ones require at least 4 human players.

Select online mode and compete in a race. Doesn’t matter what type of event and doesn’t matter if you get eliminated. Just play!
