How to unlock the Fishing for Compliments achievement in Hotshot Racing - Definitive Guide

One of the easiest achievement. As soon as you completed as little as a single race with a podium finish, you will have enough money to buy a cheap customization option like a wheel (2000 dollars). Just start any online race selecting your customized car, you can do this in a private session with a friend or in public matches alike. The achievement will pop up during the countdown for the race's start, you don't even have to reach the finish. You will want to finish it because there's an achievement for completing a race, too.

Doesn't seem to want to unlock for me. I have customised my vehicle, changing the colour and steering wheel but it won't pop.

actually from the 5 bars you have to complete to be able to unlock everything on a single car, I only did one, but customized the car as much as I can and it did pop up when playing online. I used the Stallion (very first car from the first character)

Select Raceshop from the main menu and customise anything in your vehicle. You only need to customise one thing on your vehicle. I simply changed my exhaust and then did an online race.
