To be honest, with the amount of rubber banding, you should not have a problem unlocking this without trying on your way to earning other achievements. My only tip is not to boost on the final stretch, unless the competition is as well.

This will come naturally as the catch-up logic on this game is very strong. You won’t be able to get away and have a big lead against the AI. I have won countless races against the AI by 0.1 second.
