How to unlock the Practise Makes Perfect achievement in Hotshot Racing - Definitive Guide

Set a deliberately slow time on any track and then just incrementally beat it. Take note that setting the original time counts as "beating" it so you technically only need to beat a personal best 4 times.

Just to say, i did have to beat it 5 times (first 1 didn't count)... and yes i did it in time trial

Very easy as long as you don’t set yourself ridiculous times on every track! Easiest way is to just set a really slow time on a track, and then do another lap and beat it by a few seconds, and do it again and again and again. Once you have beat your personal best 5 times the trophy will pop. It can be all 5 on one track, or on 5 different tracks.
