How to unlock the Supersonic achievement in Hotshot Racing - Definitive Guide

I did it using following setup on my first try:

Castle Funfair
Single Race
Game Mode: Drive or Explode
Difficulty: Normal
Laps: 7 (important!)

Character: Alexa
Car: Thunder (because of the great Acceleration stat - which helped in getting past the other cars pretty quick).

Setting up lap count to 7 is crucial, as with each checkpoint, you raise your max speed cap. Castle Funfair is also good track for this achievement, because it's short and there are no tight turns. Not sure about this, but it *may* work on 6 laps - I tried with 3 and 5 laps and failed, so 7 was my safe bet.

I only drifted when I had to - try to avoid drifting, as your car will slow down and AI cars will catch up to you and deplete your health pretty fast.
Save your boost for the last stretch - I didn't have to use any during the race, but it's necessary at the end to go over 300 MPH. Use it as you're getting near the finish line.

It can definitely be achieved with 5 laps but 7 is a safe bet. The only issue with 7 laps is that some people won't be able to hold out for that long and will explode before then. If anyone has issues, try 5 laps with Marcus and use the Carbon. Two boosts at the end of lap 5 is all you'll need to break 300 MPH

5 laps on Castle Funfair, driving Marcus' Carbon, with 2 boosts at the end works.

Everything said here is true, but I had to do 6 laps after coming in at 290+ three times with 5 laps.

you can also do this easy with a second controller and AI cars set to 0. then just build your boost up for 6 laps and then activate 2 boosts at the end with the Carbon.

I'd like to point out that you can also use the Super F-90 as it's the same stat wise as Carbon, just for those that don't want to use what is supposed to be a Bugatti Veyron here.

2 player is the way to go! 5 laps with the carbon and boosts and the end is plenty on Castle Funfair.

I can confirm that 5 laps is much better and easier to set up.

Done with 5 laps. All you have to do is to save 1 boost to use it in the last lap close to the finish line

Start a Drive or Explode single race changing the lap count to 7. Every completed lap will increase your max speed; however, you will not be able to reach 300mph+ without using your boost. On the 6th lap, start to focus on building up your boost meter. You should have at least two boosts to use around the last corner of the race. Time your boosts correctly and you should cross the finish line at 300mph+.

You can make this very easy by boosting this yourself. Log in with a second controller. Go to online and then host game. Set the max number of racers to 2 and the number of AI racers to zero. Set the difficulty to expert as you want the car to be as fast as possible, and it is fastest on expert. Set the number of laps to 5 and pick an easy course such as Castle Funfair. Your top speed will start relatively slowly and will increase every lap and on the 5th lap your top speed will be about 270mph. Make sure you keep a boost in reserve and if you approach the finish line on your final lap at top speed you can use a boost and push your speed up well past 300mph.
