This is earned in the second job of the DLC, “A New Chapter”. Select the stairs with your selling tool, then change them to your desired finish.

There is a job in the main game that requires you to change the finish on the stairs. It will unlock this achievement without owning the DLC, which I believe it gets labeled as a Title Update now.

This is so annoying. I didn't have any intention of getting the Luxury DLC, and here they added an achievement that is unlocked without it.

We have the ability to move achievements that do not require DLC into their own title update packs. Next time please submit the information to the team and it will be updated quicker. We don't usually patrol comment sections :P

Can confirm it works without the DLC (I just have the base game from Game Pass) - I went back into my completed save game, and I bought a two storey house (House With Decorations), went in, used the selling tool on the stairs, changed all the colours, and clicked 'change' at the bottom, and the cheevo popped right away.

Popped on GamePass 5-29-23 w/o DLC. Just finished the 1000 and noticed I have 1025.

It is separated like this because this achievement can be unlocked without purchasing the Luxury DLC. It’s not a separate update.
