How to unlock the Criminal achievement in Hover - Definitive Guide

You need to progress far enough in the story to access the prison before attempting this. You cannot unlock this unless you have access to the prison

All you have to do is get caught by the security bots 3 times and then you'll be transported to a cell in the prison. Once you arrive, the achievement will pop.

I was spotted a dozen times by security cams last night, stood still and got frozen in a red bubble for a few seconds while getting a dressing down from a sec bot but never went to jail...? Can you expand on this guide please?

You need to have followed the story long enough in order to unlock access to the prison. After that point, just get spotted and captured three times and you'll be taken to a prison cell.

Just a note this can't be unlocked if you get caught three times in the E-Cop tower or in the Orbital Station level because those send you to to a cell or a tube on the same level. Can't be obtained in the Sewer level as well because there are no cops or bots there. Everywhere else is just as the guide said after unlocking the prison.
