How to unlock the Veteran killer achievement in How To Survive 2 - Definitive Guide

I have a little tip, I found, to give you:
Once you farming the XP in the Fan's quest "Healthy Body, Healthy Mind", not use it to level up any skills. You farming to the point that you can level up to the max weapon skill (45milion XP). Enter in any mission you want, spend the points where you want, you will unlock the achievement, then unplug the controller and press B.
You'll find yourself in the main menu, enter in your camp and you'll see that all the XP points have not been used, then you can again use them on other skills to unlock the other achievements.

Sorry for my English, I hope that you understand it =)

I have found a very easy method for farming XP, which will make grinding these achievements much simpler and faster. You will get more than 300,000 XP every 2 minutes and depending on your current level, the XP you get will be higher.

NOTE: This quest is not available at the start of the game. You will have to progress through the game first, and complete the earlier quests given by Fan before unlocking this one. I recommend unlocking all Quests and getting to Level 51 before grinding this out, but it's completely up to you.

I have included a video down below. Please follow the video guide if these steps confuse you.

Step 1) First you will want to find on your world map a quest giver named Fan.

Please look at the map below if you're having a hard time finding him.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B951ByOsD-gFY29lclpkcl9tQXc...

Step 2) You will want to start the quest from him, "Healthy Body, Healthy Mind".

Step 3) Once you have started the quest, just run and speak with Fan 1. After that, run and speak with Fan 2 to end the quest. You don't have to bother with the zombies as they will just slow you down.

Please look at the map below if you're having a hard time finding where you need to go. You shouldn't need to use this map, but I added one anyways just in case.

I'm at character level 51 which is max and was getting 318k each run which is a lot.

Ithe would be a better solution if you included what skills in this category you need to max and how much xp total is needed. Then give a estimated amount of runs you would need to do doing this method. People will downvote if you just copy and paste the same solution for multiple entries. Adding what I said will make this one unique, you can do the same for the others and I wouldn't forsee any downvotes.

With that being said, I've found this method to be very useful. Been using it since launch. I would also recommend building a stash right next to the quest giver since the cement blocks rewarded get pretty heavy. That way you can empty without spending too much time traveling and getting back into it.

@Silvos I think you are probably better off not knowing how much XP is needed it's massive cry. I didn't work it out fully but it was close to 4-5 million for level 8-10 on one of the skills so you are looking at 100's of millions of XP and likely over 300 runs of this level.

Firstly, Credit goes to Bonien2 for his solution on this achievement.
I have, however, done my fair share of pathing and optimization to his method.
If you have a decently strong character (preferably able to 1hit zombies when you crit, and arrows that penetrate to hit multiple targets), you should have no problem applying my route.
Be aware that the spawns are random, sometimes you have to pick lock the door, in the clip I just ran through.
Sometimes you'll get spawns in the alleyway (rarely, but be aware and ready to shoot if something does spawn there)
Sometimes you'll have enemies at the end.

The clip below is a speedrun of the mission "Healthy body, Healthy mind". Again, as recommended by Bonien2
This is with +24% sprint speed from the best gear in the game, combined with maxed out stamina skills, a speed potion, and perfect pathing.

This specific run was about 31 seconds, in a perfect scenario you could get about 25 to 26 seconds.
Doing this, you can expect 30/35 second runs. Maybe 40 or 45 seconds if you're REALLY unlucky and have a massive amount of zombies to kill.

On average though, you should be able to knock out 50/60 runs an hour doing this method. (Might be more now with the Xbox One X) Netting you 15 to 18 million xp an hour.

Reminder: Pressing cn_B to go out of a dialogue will still complete the dialogue. Do this both in the mission, and when starting up the mission.

To start the mission, approach the character and press cn_A -> cn_B -> cn_A -> cn_B -> [Select the correct mission and press cn_A on it] -> cn_B -> cn_A to quickly start the mission, and not having to skip through countless dialogue.

Since the process of upgrading all your skills will take a long time, I value optimization and efficiency a lot, hence this solution being so speed-oriented.

My original run was about 26 seconds but I have since accidentally deleted it. Here is a reupload to YouTube so it won't break the link again:

I know this is old, but the video doesn’t seem to be at either of those links. Do you still have this run you reference so I can try it out? Thanks! toast

I accidentally deleted the clip. If you want I could redownload the game and re-record it?

I’d hate to ask you to mess with that, what did you do differently in your path that made it different/quicker? If you remember by chance toast

Basically cutting corners, at roughly 1:07 you can run in between the wall and the gas station in like the smallest alley, and towards the end (if you're fast enough) you can sprint to the end without killing anything except maybe a few enemies that are in the way of the door.

I reuploaded it anyways :) Hope it helps!

EDIT: Although I'm now terrible at this game so it's a worse run than before haha.

You gain 50 million experience, fully upgrade one section (weapon all cells), receive a trophy, exit through the ps button. Come back and repeat in the same way as other trophies for leveling up.
