How to unlock the Discoverer I achievement in How to Survive - Definitive Guide

Story based achievement that you'll probably get in the first hour of gameplay or so. One of your first missions is to find some fuel at the village of the first island. Fairly straightforward mission, when you return you'll hear a sign of another survivor. Go north over the beach to find the survivor and his boat. Use the boat and the achievement should pop after the loading screen.

After getting the gasoline for Ramon, you'll talk to Kovac before heading to La Vendida Island.
