How to Survive

Throughout the game you'll find special plants that you can collect to fill your Herbarium. They serve no purpose other than for the trophy. It is recommended you play as Kenji, as he is the only character with the Herborist skill. This will make any special plants within 40m appear on your map.

Each island will have 5 plants scattered around them, for a total of 20. Below are maps of each island showing their locations (maps courtesy of qliqQLAQ of Steam), as well as some brief descriptions of each location. You don't have to get all across one playthrough, as they carry across all playthroughs, though of course you'll need to unlock the respective island again to find any you missed if you start a new game. If you ever need to see which plants you have/are missing, press > Survival Guide > Herbarium.

Map Number/Herbarium Number - Plant Name: Description [Explosives Required means you can only access these plants once you have explosives to destroy barriers, which appear as red lines on your map]

Los Riscos Island:

1/1 - Aglaonema: Next to where you talk to Ramon for the first time, near some Hardware.

2/2 - Begonia Flowers: [Explosives Required] In between two destructible barriers, near Coco.

3/5 - Yellow Capsicum: [Explosives Required] Inside the shelter on the North-West beach.

4/4 - Capsicum: The open shack will have some bushes in the back. Cut them down to find the plant.

5/3 - Begoniamaculata: In the North section of the forest near the sleep bunker, you can cut/burn a group of bushes to access this one.

La Sonada Island:

1/6 - Echinodorus: Near the campsite on the beach.

2/7 - Gunneramanicata: [Explosives Required] Sitting on a hill next to a Golden Crab. Follow the path behind the Gasoline Tank to reach it.

3/10 - Heliconia: [Explosives Required] Behind the bunker on the hill.

4/9 - Pink Guzmania: [Explosives Required] Sitting on an island with two bridges. You must walk from the West as you can't walk across from the East.

5/8 - Yellow Guzmania: Cut down the bush in between the two shacks, near the campfire.

Santa Barbara Island:

1/13 - Monstera: On a hill next to some graves, above the beach.

2/14 - Passiflora: [Explosives Required] Head through the vineyard and find it on the edge of the cliff.

3/15 - Pilea: [Explosives Required] Just north of the pirahna-infested swamps, on a patch of land.

4/11 - Hymenocallis: [Explosives Required] At the top of the hill, next to the campfire.

5/12 - Mimosa Pudica: Right in the open the by water's edge.

La Vendida Island:

1/18 - Puyaalpestris: Walk around the side of the ramp and walk behind it.

2/19 - Sprekelia: [Explosives Required] Behind the wooden barrier of the shed.

3/16 - White Plumeria: Next to the shed behind a bush.

4/20 - Tobacco: [Explosives Required] Behind several bushes in the North section.

5/17 - Pink Plumeria: Cut through the bushes near the cage.
