How to unlock the Perfect run achievement in How to Survive - Definitive Guide

The first challenge was by far the easiest of the ones I have played so far. You have to find the plane as fast as possible, all while battling hordes of the undead (and I mean HORDES).

For starters, play the storyline for a while, don't try to dive right into this. The controls and mechanics in this game take some getting used to, and this is definitely not the place to learn them.

Ok, all good? Alright, do a practice run first. You start in different locations each time you play the challenge (unless you die and hit retry), but the plane is always in the same spot and the map is always the same. So, since speed is fairly important for the S ranking, you're going to need to learn the map. It's not terribly hard to learn, but there are some blocked off paths that you should know about.

So, you know how to play and where to go? Great! One more thing. There are two spawn points: one on the west side with bow materials, and one on the east side with gun materials. The gun makes this MUCH easier, but if you're good with a bow, you can play it out if you get that one.

Beyond that, it's a simple achievement and the requirements aren't too harsh. Kill all the zombies from your spawn point to the destination, including the bosses... but no need to go out of your way. Avoid damage as much as possible and try to move as fast as possible - you don't have to speed-run it, but you don't want to screw around either. My final time was 14 minutes and change when I got the S ranking with a 91% accuracy, 160 kills, and 120'ish% damage taken.

Also note that this can be done in co-op mode. I personally found it easier to do solo, as both player's stats are combined for the final ranking. If you have a good partner, by all means, give it a shot.

what about the difficulty, Does it have to be on Iron Man, or can it be done on Normal?

I managed to get a S on my first run of Challenge 4, that one is pretty easy.

It's just you and a boomerang against Zombie animals.

Not sure what New xDante1986's problem was, all the weapon parts are usually at the start of each challenge, unless he tried to do them before starting the campaign, and didn't know how to make anything.

Huh, now that I've done them all, I actually find the first Challenge to be the hardest. You don't really get a chance for a real strong gun to take out the big Ogre guy.

I've gotten S Ranks on at least 4 Challenges so far on my first try.

Whatever works I guess.

I got an S on this one. I took it slow and killed all the zombies until the Mongo came out then I just sprinted to the end and didn't bother killing him. This works because there isn't anything to install on the plane.

I can also confirm that Challenge 4 is actually really easy for an S rating, as I got it on my first try. You can create a powerful bow fairly early, as well as the best boomerang. Once you can make incendiary arrows it's smooth sailing. Just make sure to grab enough fresh meat to move the swamp piranhas out of the way.

Shit, now I just got an S on Challenge 5, first time as well. I thought I was doing terribly too.

Same for Challenge 6, which was good enough for Survival Hobbyist. Yasssss! Sorry, bragging over. Point is, this isn't too hard. I did play through the game first, and I used a fully leveled up Kenji.

Would Challenge 3 work? If i run down by the plane and just kill hordes of enemies for 5 mins and then exit the island?

Just make sure you've got a level 15 character from the SP campaign and every challenge should be do-able. Although I've still got to do it myself <_<

I just got this and I can say that the first challenge is pretty easy. I had a machine gun by the time I had to clear the first safe house, based on all the parts I picked up. Like napoearth, I took my time until I reached the brute, then I used a molotov to clear the bushes and sprinted, as much as possible, to the plane. I only killed a few zombies at that point but made it without an issue.

Ranks in challenges are based off several criteria: Accuracy, Health Damage, Zombies Killed, Time Taken. In order to achieve an S Rank, you must complete a challenge relatively quickly, killing most of the zombies with very high accuracy, with little to no damage. Unfortunately, the exact requirements for these criteria to meet an S Rank aren't given to you.

Getting S Rank can be difficult on some challenges, but I personally found Challenge 6 to be the easiest. At the start you'll receive enough component to make either a Precision Rifle, Wooden Long Bow Pulley or Wooden Crossbow (Kenji only), all of which can pierce enemies and kill multiple at once. If you're using Kenji as recommended for Story Mode, you should be able to make the Wooden Crossbow, which is the best of the available weapons. With this, you can clear out all enemies with ease by going for headshots and lining them up. You can avoid the bunker in the forest, as the extra zombie kills from that aren't necessary for S Rank. The only concern is the boss at the end, though you can just run past him to the plane and still get S Rank.

1 test - most often included in advice for obtaining this achievement.

It's really quite simple. The task is to find the plane. The location and location of the plane are the same every time. Only your starting point changes. Study the map, get used to the controls, and then try to kill as many zombies as possible (including bosses) during the passage, take virtually no damage and do not delay the completion for dozens of hours.

I saw similar statistics on one site - 14 minutes, accuracy 91%, 160 kills, health lost 120% - rank S.
