For this achievement you need to make it until the final era (contemporary era) and choose a different affinity every time you go to a new era.
As example, my playthrough in which this achievement unlocked I played:
Egyptians (industrial) > Celts (agrarian) > Franks (influence) > Dutch (money) > Germans (militaristic) > Swedes (science).
As long as you make sure you picks different affinity every time you should be good. Just play the rest of the game and finish it. For this achievement you do not need to win, but you must end it/See it through until the end.
