How to unlock the Easier than Mining Sulphur achievement in Hunt: Showdown - Definitive Guide
As good as the other guide may be, I just thought I’d add a few tips. I was able to get all quickplay achievements (other than the grindy 250 rifts closed) in one game which incidentally was my second ever Quickplay game.
Essentially, for those new to the game or specifically mode, Quickplay is more akin to a Battle Royale type mode than Bounty Hunt; you start with a random weapon from a predetermined loadout category (Pistol, Shotgun, Melee) and the aim is to be the first one to collect four rifts to activate the Wellspring, then absorb all remaining energy in the Wellspring to end the game. Alternatively you can just kill all other players but still need to activate the Wellspring regardless to win, otherwise your soul gets damned and you die. The Wellspring’s energy pool constantly diminishes as soon as the game begins. You can pick up other weapons and equipment as you go from blue and white striped boxes, usually found near rifts or inside buildings or compounds.
As in Bounty Hunt, holding RB will enter darksight so you can track rifts which will be highlighted as a kind of smokey dark blue effect.
The aim of this achievement is to get to the wellspring while it still has at least 250 energy in the pool AND absorb the energy. Note that if you are the sole player in the game or there were other players but they have died, you will instantly absorb all remaining energy upon activating the wellspring and thus win automatically.
For this reason, if wanting as little risk as possible, play on Oceania servers during their off peak or nighttime. Being in the UK, Australia is 9 hours ahead for example so playing in late afternoon for me will more often than not render me the only player in an Oceania lobby. Note that although easier, a lot of the fun of Hunt imo comes from the risk of other players and you won’t be working towards headshots if theres no one to shoot obviously, but if going solely for this achievement, Oceania may be your best bet. This is also great to bare in mind for grinding rift closures.
Secondly, always choose melee loadout to start. The axe is okay but the machete and cavalry sabre are best. Melee can drop mobs way more efficiently than the shotguns and handguns can and help save time. If there are other players in the game, it also makes it much more unlikely that they can effectively track you and kill you by sound as you aren’t firing noisy gunshots.
With this in mind, essentially rush four rifts asap while being careful about what fights you pick with AI but not neglecting to defend yourself. If you can find a decent rifle, ideally with an OP bayonet, great, but if not the starting melee weapon will suffice.
Happy hunting.

The best way to get this is rush the wellspring - try to reach the 4 clues as fast as possible.
You might want to head towards the locations which contain two clues at once. For example there are two clues at the Healing-Waters Church or Carmick.
Your goal is to absorb 250 enery from the wellspring, either by A) surviving long enough to get this many points or B) kill every hunter whos still with you on the map. For both methods, you want to be the first to activate the wellspring (asap).
