Bull in a China Shop

Bull in a China Shop

Trick the Minotaur into destroying all the pillars in the Arches of Fire section in Llyr

15

How to unlock the Bull in a China Shop achievement in Hunted Demons Forge - Definitive Guide

You can get this achievement in Chapter 4.3 inside the city Llyr and would be easier if you were playing with a co-op partner. You'll come across a Minotaur and some Wargar fighting each other with wooden pillar platforms built up around this area. You'll want to trick the Minotaur to charge at your while you are behind the supports on the ground, might also work if you are on top of the platforms themselves. As either E'lara or Caddoc lure him with ranged attacks - either one doing the damage (if not the most damage) at that time should get its attention.

Once there is no more platforms standing and the area is clear of anything destructible in the environment, the achievement should pop. Again - the Minotaur must break the wooden pillars, not your characters.

Helpful Comments
- Tnt Taurus has brought it to my attention that you may want to play this part as Caddoc if you are playing solo. If Caddoc was the CPU partner he would keep attacking the Minotaur making it more difficult to do this achievement.
- AlphaTwo00 suggests playing on a harder difficulty if playing solo so the Minotaur's health isn't so low while trying to do this. Playing on Gamer or above should help.
- Mercutio0305 adds that if anyone is still having trouble with this, that they may want to try playing in splitscreen co-op if you are going for this solo.

@TnT Taurus thanks for the info, I will add this to the solution. I was playing co-op with a friend and we were both working towards getting the Minotaur to ram into the pillars. I can see how the Caddoc as the CPU might prevent this.

Also, if you're going solo, might want to pump up the difficulty if you are attempting this achievement after the main game. The items you carry are more likely too powerful and too easy for the AI to take the Minotaur down.

i had the same problem as tnt taurus, but with both characters, the minotaurus alwas went after the other one. what i did, was started split screen with a second controller, went with both through the gap and then left one there and only tricked the minotaur with one player in the area, which was very easy this way

Agreed with Mercutio that if playing solo then using a second controller seems to be the only reliable way to get this to work.

You have to do this with Caddoc because with E'Liana in single player this is madness. Caddoc always hit the minotaur so he won't destroy the pillar (or will left just one of them). I hate that, because now if I want the achievement I have to do all the city again but with Caddoc ... stupid game logic

Yep, much easier with 2 controllers. Left Elara at the top of the stairs, took out the enemies, stood in front of the pillars, achievement unlocked.

AI kept killing the Minotaur tried both Elara and Caddoc. I had to do this with Second Controller like others, thanks for tip.

Definitely easiest in split screen with a dummy controller.

Around half way through Chapter 4.3 you need to climb through a broken building and drop down into a courtyard. Once you drop down you will encounter a Minotaur who is being attacked by Wargar. Clear the area of Wargar and have the Minotuar charge at you while standing near the wooden struts holding up the platform. Once these struts are destroyed the platform will fall and this will unlock. This can be a little time-consuming as the Minotaur gets stuck sometimes, and he will also stop mid dash for no reason if he hits the wrong area while dashing.
