Garden level, get in the car through the window on the front right. Lock on to the key fob (the thing hanging from the key) … not the key itself. Swinging on the key does nothing, the car starts automatically when you lock a button on the key fob.

Can be done in ‘Free Roam’ which gives you unlimited grip and edibillity. Makes way more sense to do it this way.

In the Garden level (easiest to do in Free Roam mode), make your way into the car, either by breaking a window/skylight with some object, or through the open panels on the front windows. Then it's just a matter of making your way to the steering column and grabbing the key in the ignition (grab using circle/square/triangle/X). Once you've grabbed it you may have to yank on it before the engine revs and the trophy pops. You do not need to do anything with the gas/brake pedals or shift stick.

The easiest and fastest way to start the car is by using the baguette since it is tall enough to reach the key from the seat. Load up the Garden level on Rampage mode, attach something to the baguette and fall through the sunroof to the inside of the car. Pin one side of the baguette to the key to start the car. Again, holding the key will not start the car, you need to pin a button to the key. Once the button is pinned, you don't need to turn the key or do anything, the car will start by itself.
