This method works if you want to cheese HOF (even the final boss). During another play through, look for a potion of permanent +5% magic resistance in the statue of Sseth on the first floor of Dragon's Eye. Don’t use it. Then go to the second dungeon in the trials of the luremaster DLC. There is a barrel in the northwest which gives random items. Save scum to get a potion that gives permanent +5% crushing and another that gives permanent +5% to both piercing and slashing. Exploit the import/export character system to copy enough of these potions to be able to max out all 4 resistances on a character, I chose the lvl 30/30/30 FMT with duel wielding +5 singing blades, boots of speed, ring of fire resistance, etc (lots of guides show you how to make this). Then start a HOF with 6 of those. Almost nothing can damage you, you can literally watch tv while you run through the game. Although some enemies take a while to kill, they can’t hurt you. Watch out for normal missiles (only found early game usually on goblin types) which wasn’t too much of a pain (feel free to swap in shields if you want). The other to watch is AOE affects that radiate from enemies like the fire salamander. I believe the fire rings helped with them. For the final boss some of his minions did a little AOE damage and the boss himself was able to damage periodically though I’m not sure how. I beat him the first time with minimal effort and 1 dead PC. Enjoy.
