How to unlock the Boom Goes the Dynamite achievement in #IDARB - Definitive Guide

To get this Achievement you need to shoot the ball up off the underside of the white platform at an angle so it flies down onto the small grey platform before ending up in the goal. You need to aim using cn_LS and then shoot with cn_X.

The Achievement can be obtained in Local play with a second controller as the opponent.

i did this perfectly how you did it in the video 3 times and the achievement still didnt pop

I had to do this online. The achievement tracker showed it as being two thirds done when I tried to do it solo. I did it in an online private match and it popped.

Mine was stuck at "Done Unlocking", re-installed the game, and it still won't pop. This game is absolute garbage.

ive scored 15 point shots multiple times in local and online against a friend and it hasnt unlocked

It didn't pop for me after I got multiple 3 bounce and even 4 bounce shots in Local Play, so I started a Single Player match against the Computer, and the Computer scored against me and the Achievement popped, 100G. Very strange.

Yeah it seems like it's glitched for me too, I've done 20+ 15 point shots and still haven't unlocked it. :(

Done about 20 times as well and no achievement. Having issues with achievements popping in another game as well, wonder if its xbox live.

I'm not sure why it would be glitched. Make sure if you are using a second account to help get it that your main account is the host.

So here I am a few days later and I just noticed that it has now unlocked and registered as unlocking the day I should've gotten it. All of this glitchy business must have been XBL.

XBL has had a lot of problems recently both on the 360 and the One. Ive lost count of the amount of times Achievements haven't flashed up on my screen despite unlocking them.

Had some hard times with this one. Only got 12 points on solo. 3 points with 4x multiplier. But then it came to me, it's like basketball. You have 2 point zone and 3 point zone and out side of those the 5 point zone. White curves separate the zones.
So you can get it on solo as long as you score far enough.

This ONLY worked for me when playing against CPU.
Single player or with a second controller never worked.

I scored 3 times in a single match (by myself) to get the supersaiyan-like aura and it worked like a charm. Looked like it needed a little boost to get in.

Don't know why you think that but several hundred people have unlocked it the last 2 months so not sure what you mean...
As for the multipliers as it shows in the video you get a multiplier for every surface the ball bounches off of before hitting the goal, good luck 🙂🤞

i found this method to be impossible so i stood on the gray box on top and shot down at an angle to the top of the white block and got it first try from this different spot.

This achievement must be glitched. It's the weirdest thing: I got a 15-point shot, the achievement didn't unlock. I check my achievements and it's at 100%, saying "Done, Unlocking...". It stays like that for a good 5 minutes. Meanwhile I'm able to unlock all the other achievements in the game. 5 minutes later it goes back to 0% progress on this achievement. Even went back and got another 15-point achievement; same thing happened. It was at 100% for 5 minutes but never unlocked, then went back down to 0%.

This shit is definitely glitched. As of 2/13/15, I got 3 15 point shots in solo practice play...nothing popped. So I started up a single player match with the CPU, got a 15 point shot, and bam. Popped. So I'm not sure what the requirements are now but, for me, I got it scoring the shot against the CPU.

I too had some problems with this achievement & as far as I can figure, it has something to do with points per goal...I was playing a local,practice match (solo) & noticed that each goal only gave me 2 points,well 2x3 is only 6 NOT 15 & sure enough my tracker was saying 35% so then I tried scoring a few goals which I earlier had noticed made the character go on fire or at least that's what I think it's supposed to look like,& then I tried again. This time I got 5 points for my goal & with the 3x I, of course, got 15 points & pop went the cheevo.
Now I have no idea if the extra points per goal is because of this fire thing or perhaps something to do with several goals in a row but thought this might help others smile Good Luck & Happy Cheevo Hunting

This achievement can be obtained while playing solo in "practice mode"

All you need to do is have the ball bounce twice before going into your opponents goal, while shooting from far enough away.

It may take a little while to get but should be a relatively easy 100 gamerscore

I made this shot and it only counted as a 5 point shot, not a 15 point shot, everything else was identical. Any ideas?

@Swoltacular The way the scoring works in the game is that shooting it from outside the second line, so a certain distance away, is 5 points, and each bounce increases the multiplier by x1, so I'm honestly not certain what could have gone wrong.

Unless you were slightly too close, or the game didn't count both bounces for some reason. I've heard of the achievement itself being glitched, and people had to reinstall the game, but not of the shot not counting for 15 points. So I'm not sure what to say, sorry, hope it works for you soon!

@Luddy420 If you just go to "start game" and don't set any opponents, it has you in a game by yourself and calls it practice mode

You can get this in an online private match against a friend, just stand on the grey box near the middle and aim at the white platform and try to bounce it off the platform below and into the goal for 100G

So, after trying over and over again on the 1st Stage without success, I decided to give it a try on the 3rd Stage, and just got it within a minute ;)


So, go in :
- Local PLay
- Start Game
- Choose the third arena, "Mustache Cops vs Cthulhu in Space"
- Hold down cn_start to scroll down the timer quickly
