First of all, this is one of the most creative achievements I've ever seen. Secondly, either you or a friend will need a free Twitch.tv account which you can get by going here: http://www.twitch.tv/ OR a Twitter account which you can get by going here: http://www.twitter.com. This is because there's both Twitch and Twitter integration built into the game and this achievement requires one of the two. I will explain how to get the achievement both ways but you will only need to do one or the other.

Twitch Method

Start up the game on your Xbox and from the main menu, select "Options". Make sure the Twitch option in-game is toggled to "Chat w/ Hashbombs". After that, scroll down three menu items to "Set Twitch Channel" and type in the name of the channel you want to use. It can be your own or any other Twitch channel, even if it's not live at the moment. For instance, the channel I stream on is http://www.twitch.tv/karnage so for this option you would type "karnage".

Now, log into Twitch (on any device) and visit the channel you designated in the game. Now start up a local or online match. Meanwhile, in the stream chat room you will need to type #achievement

If you, or anyone in THAT chat room typed #achievement , it will prompt you with a message indicating that you activated the achievement bot. Shortly after this happens, the achievement will unlock!

Twitter Method

EDIT: Keeping this alternate method here just in case but many people have said that only the Twitch method seems to work these days and NOT the Twitter method anymore.

Start up the game on your Xbox and from the main menu, select "Options". Make sure the Twitter option in-game is toggled to "#IDARB Feed w/ Hashbombs". After you have done that, start up a local or online match. You will notice that in the top left corner of the screen it says "@idarbwire #xxxx" (where x is a unique four character/digit code for your current match). You must go on Twitter (using any device) and tweet the following: "@idarbwire #xxxx #achievement". For example, if my room code was N3PV, I would tweet this: "@idarbwire #N3PV #achievement". Shortly after this happens, the achievement will unlock!

I should also add that if the achievement does not unlock for either method after following the steps, try exiting the whole game/app and starting it up again. Some people have informed me that it did the trick! Also, since the game is now officially available and many people are on it, the Twitch and Twitter feeds may have some issues so if it doesn't work, try again later. Both methods have been tested though and the achievement can be earned either way.

Anyway, VERY cool and innovative integration of Twitch & Twitter throughout this game and specifically this achievement!

i tried it soooo many times on twitch and twitter with own and channels from others...it did not unlock.....i always saw in the top right or left Corner the right channels...but it is not the solution.....if the channel works and u type something in there THAT message has to appear in the game too......and that never worked ..........what i can recommend is the official twitch idard channel http://www.twitch.tv/idarbgame/profile THAT WORKS...u must see now the channel info on the right:
How do I Hash Bomb?

To send a hash bomb here, in chat, just type a hash ("#") followed by a word. What word? There are many, but we're not going to tell you what they all are.

Here are just some of the secret Hash Bomb codes. Can you find them all?
•"#smash"
•"#redbox"
•"#light"
•"#freeze"
•"#bomb"
•"#clown"

And now u can type in #achievement and it will work...then u will see a message in-game "achivement bot activated"..u can also try to type in #Smash for example and then the hashbom arrives (what really is cool way of interation between a game and twitch)...

so finally: WITH THE OFFICIAL CHANNEL it should work!!!

Not able to get this. I have no option to type in the chat on Twitch when its snapped, nor can I do it off my phone, as it constantly says my channel is offline. Giving up with this after half an hour of fucking about. 550g is better than nothing.

^ Your channel does NOT have to be online to get the achievement. Just type #achievement in the Twitch chatroom even if there's no stream currently going on. Make sure to double check that you toggled the options I mentioned in-game and went through all the steps.

Found this wouldn't unlock using Twitter, but hooking the game into the official Twitch channel (idarbgame) and using the chat method worked first time.

Has anyone got this to work recently? I've tried multiple channels and verified the settings were correct and still can't get this to pop. Even played online vs someone, as well as uninstalled the game and tried it once it downloaded again. Any help?

Great solution! Works today but took me a while. Make sure you set up the account as advised with “Karnage” and it is case-sensitive (looks like this is where I went wrong as I wrote all in lower case). You don’t even need to watch one of the streams, just log into your Twitch and post the phrase #achievement on Karnage’s channel, and this should pop. Thanks for the guide!

I first tried this on Twitter but it didn't work. So then I tried on Twitch and it worked right away. In Options for the Twitch channel just type in the name, not the full URL. So, if the channel is http://www.twitch.tv/coip then in the IDARB game options menu, you just type "coip" for Twitch (no quotes). Then, load up an online game and start playing, then bust out your PC and go to http://www.twitch.tv/coip and type "#achievement" (no quotes) in the chat room and it should pop soon thereafter (took about 10 seconds for me).

I dont have twitter or twitch and the achievement bot came during my game getting the 42 points so I guess there is other ways to get this but do not know how it happened

I left the Twitch settings as they were with it set to IDARB channel.

I then loaded Twitch app. Not in snap mode. Full screen.

I then searched for a channel with someone playing and watched them.

After a few minutes I got the achievement.

I don't have a Twitch account. I didn't type any messages. I wasn't even playing the game - although I guess it was running in the background on the main menu as xbox doesn't really quit anything.

So, this is clearly a bit random!

Start a new game after you load up twitch on another device. It wasn't unlocking for me so I started a new game and tried #achievement again and it worked.

I got this by accident, I left the game running idle in the menu, and in the demo gameplay, someone activated the achievement bot and it gave me the achievement!

So if it doesn't work at all with Twitch and Twitter, try leaving the game in the menu for about 5-10 minutes.

Ok so I figured out what I was doing wrong! For those having trouble... under set twitch channel make sure it's the name you use as your channel. No spelling mistakes an all lol. It has to be linked with your twitch. Hope this helps.

I finally got twitter to work. I created an account for this achievement. And with countless attempts, no luck with it unlocking. So I decided to keep my account and customize it (profile pic, banner, following a few people here and there, location). Then when I tried for the achievement again. Boom first try. Had no luck with Twitter. Searched for idarb on twitch, found a previously streamed clip and went onto the profile, put the name in the twitch section in game (spell exactly how it's spelled on twitch, including capital letters where needed) went onto chat and put: #achievement twice and it popped. Such an arse about, but worked. Hope this helps anyone out..

This only worked for me after starting a game, pressing the guide button to open the XBox One Twitch App, finding the idarbgame person, entering #achievement in the chat, and then pressing the guide button and selecting the game again. Finally!

When I started the match to see what my twitter hashtag was, I noticed the game said "Hashbombs Currently Disabled" for both Twitter and Twitch.

I tried Twitter first, and it did not work, but when I tried Twitch the achievement unlocked despite the message.

Yeah I even tried xblafans. I have probably typed #achievement 30-40 times in 4 different channels. I even tried single player and online but twitch was acting kind of strange so I will try again.

So when I go into Xbox settings and test multiplayer setting I get the message "Your network is good, but there are some Xbox service issues" I also can't find a multiplayer game maybe this has something to do with it not working. I wonder if Lizard Squad is making good on their threats.

I unlocked it with the Hashbomb #achievement

So you have to send a Tweet that looks something like this:

@idarbwire #**** (this is the hashtag of your game that's in the top left corner) #achievement

With this you unlock the achievement as well..

Not sure what happened I was just sat in a game on my own and someone else tweeted #achievement and it unlocked for me! So if it's not working I recomend making sure you've enabled tweets with hastags and just sit in a game til some one tweets

Just heads up guys.. I also was having trouble unlocking the achievement in Twitch.. But I think I found out how to do it... If it says Offensive or Not working by your self.. What I did.. Was, : " Search for a random player playing IDARB on Twitch and must be playing not doing anything else.. The person I saw playing was maybe playing online or with second controller and also his Live must say his Username not Offensive. As far I think.... Anyway. I first use my Smartphone with the install Twitch App.. And from there I look for a random player... And once I chosen a player.. I type his name in Set Twitch Channel in The IDARB Game Options.. After that is done.. Make sure that Twitch is on with Chat w/ Hashbombs. Now head to a local play by yourself.. And what happened to me was that things were going crazy with Hashbombs.. So in my Smartphone I went to this Random Guy Channel and I typed in #achievement and boom.. I was by myself and unlocked the achievement.. If any of you guys are still having trouble, Please try to follow my guide right here in these comments.. I hope it works for you just like it work for me.

I didn't succeed at all to stream something on Twitch... I created an account on the website through my PC, installed Twitch on my Xbox One, linked the both, and still not want to stream.

It says that I can't stream on 2 devices at the same time. Well, that's not what I'm trying to do, so I don't know why it doesn't work.

But after a few tries --well okay, it never worked, I was always 'disconnected' with a black screen on Twitch--, don't ask me why but the achievement unlocked after typing for the second time '#achievement'!

So now I have the achievement (thanks K4rn4ge), but I still don't know what I did nor how to use/stream with Twitch! ^^

1 - create an account twitch.tv

2 - put options and enter the following settings
           2.1 - automated hashbombs: 30s
           2.2 - twitter: off

Just to add to the description above as written by K4rn4ge, which is as accurate a description as you will find, I can confirm that you do not have to be in a game yourself to get this.

I was trying unsuccessfully to get this via the twitter method whilst in matches. However, I remembered that the demo games that play when you do not press a button at the start screen also have room codes. So I tested it. And I got the achievement.

So yeah, wait on the main menu for a demo game to start, then make note of the match code and input the necessary things on twitter. Other hashbombs work too, incidently.

A bit of an annoying achievement

These were my options:
Twitch: Chat w/Hashbombs Need to make sure this is right
Set Twitch Channel [thug4ng3l] put your own twitch channel here

Step 1: Create a twitch account and start broadcasting on your xbox one - this can still be done since snap an app has been removed as my friend unlocked it on 30/4/2018, just load twitch from your apps and broadcast

Step 2: On the idarb main menu go to options>twitch name>type in your twitch channel
For example I just typed thug4ng3l as that is my twitch name

Step 3: Start a game and look in the top corner for it to say 'your twitch name' and then 'LIVE'

Step 4: On a phone/computer etc, type #achievement in the chat on twitch

Hopefully within the next few minutes a message will pop up in game saying about an achievement bot and there you go

I’d tried all the solutions above, tried to broadcast my game on Twitch, etc and it didn’t work. Found this YouTube video and was done in a couple of minutes.

All you have to do is create a twitch account and verify your email so you can post into chat. No need to create a twitter account even though you select it in the options menu.
