How to unlock the Star player achievement in Ikaruga - Definitive Guide

Chain as best you can on this level. For the first part with all the small white enemies, stay in one position and slowly, in very small increments move backwards. The enemies will swarm toward you, but end up right in front of you. (Check the youtube video)

For the rest, just try your best to chain as well as you can. I had trouble doing this on easy, so I had to bump it up to Normal. The fire that comes out of downed enemies will help fill your charge and also give you extra points.

What's the score requirement to get an A rank on this level? I got an 80 chain with 3,747,861 points and I only got a C rank.

I think it should be around 4 million, if I remember correctly. Though, I don't see why you would have gotten a C with that score. Did you continue? Cause if you continue you won't do better than a C.

I'd recommend setting your lives to 5, just to give you some extra room

Yes, A rank is 4 million, I'd recommend having at around 2 million by the time you reach the boss just so you can have some leeway, I was consistently having about 1.8 by the boss and missing by 200k points so it does help.

If you're having a hard time with the boss, try this in Prototype on normal - you'll be able to kill it much faster by using energy release 2x for every time you change polarity.

you dont need only 4 millionen you need 2,3 million in a row befor reach the boss then kill the boss give you round 1,7-2 mill then you get A rank

Got 3.5 million on easy yesterday. didn't know how to properly fight the second section with homing mini-balls so that's probably where i can squeeze out some more points. Else i'll try on normal, not sure how many points the additional bullets will earn but it's worth a try.

worst part of this level was the boss 2nd form, I found it the hardest of the 3, other than that, I think I had 2.35 mil before I went into boss fight, he boosted me to like 4.1 million

I could only do it on normal. Give you a bit more lee way for points.

Using a continue effects your rating.
Each level grades your score based on using a continue and your chain. For every 3 enemies of the same color you kill, you get 1 chain. If you kill 1 white enemy, than 1 black enemy, the chain resets to zero and will ruin your score.
