This comes in the storyline after you recruit Perty, but before you reach her room. After defeating Blackhat, return to the library. Read the book, then head south and follow the cat. It'll lead you to a secret room where Perty is trapped in a mirror. She'll be freed in a cutscene. Head to the far north, and follow the path to Perty's room. Gilda will insist on fighting you one-on-one.

I assumed most achievement hunters would use instant victory. I didn't actually fight her.

I lucked out in this fight. Gilda trapped herself against the right wall of the battle screen. I was standing in the second column, middle tile. Gilda placed traps on the tiles above and below. She would move up or down a tile each turn but never attack or heal. Just hack away at her life-points with your spell of choice.
