How to unlock the Alpha Twin achievement in Immortal Planet - Definitive Guide
Alpha Twin must be defeated twice in the Fortress Area for this achievement.
His primary attack is an AOE fire attack. It is telegraphed by a white circle on the floor and should be avoided throughout the fight. He will also summon laser that will zap across the screen but will first be shown as red lines in the spots that they will cover. You have a second or two to get out of the way. He also has a melee attack for when you are close.
The fight basically consists of you dodging his AOE fire attack and his laser barrage and getting in hits when you can.
In the second encounter, instead of being two-headed - he splits into two separate bosses. One only has a single health bar and does melee attacks while the main boss will continue his AOE fire attack.
There are 2 strategies here. The strategy I went with was to defeat the single health bar boss first, and then worry about the main boss.
However, you could technically ignore the melee boss the whole time and just avoid him while damaging the main boss. This might prevent the main boss from entering his second phase ie laser barrage.
Achievement pops after defeating him twice in the fortress zone.

I've beaten him with both methods. So killing the melee guy first will cause the main boss to basically enter his 3rd phase with the laser shield circling him from the first encounter immediately. If you die, at least on the normal playthrough, the melee guy will not respawn if you killed him but the boss will immediately go to phase 3. If you ignore the melee guy and keep focusing on the main boss at some point he will only go into phase 2 with the laser attack and never initiate phase 3 with the laser shield. Once killing him the melee guy will die along with him. I personally found keeping the melee guy alive the easiest method, even with that being on my New Game Plus run because my least favorite part of that boss is the laser shield, so having it the entire fight sucked.
