Star fruit can be found in various places around Sukothai, but the easiest to reach is on a table inside the hotel, near the entrance. There's also a bowl on top of the crates to your left the first time you enter Sukothai after the "Into the Fire" sequence
Select fruit from the quick menu
and chow down on the star fruit to earn the achievement. If you're holding the maximum amount of fruit, eat one to make some room.

No idea what this guide is referring to, but, if you fast travel to the village sign, head up the stairs, and just to your left will be a star fruit in a basket.

Star fruit is all over the place in Sukhothai. The first time you will see one of these is on the table in the hotel. Once you have picked one up, press 
to select the Star Fruit, then pull 
to eat it, and this achievement will then unlock.

Star Fruit are found throughout Sukhothai, with the earliest being in the Hotel lobby when we first arrive in this section; however, the story quickly pushes us out of the hotel and into the village. So if you missed the ones in the hotel, you can easily find one just across from the medical tent in the main village.
