How to unlock the A Sutra of Pain achievement in Indivisible - Definitive Guide

This can be easily unlocked outside of battle during your first visit to Port Maerifa.

As you progress through the storyline in Port Maerifa you will unlock the ability to use a spear outside of battle by pressing cn_Y. At this point, some enemies will also spawn inside of the city.

Find one of the enemies and tap cn_Y to chuck your spear at them. Repeat this until you get to a combo of 108 or above. The achievement will pop shortly after the combo ends.

I'm sure this can be done inside of battle, I was just surprised to find such an easy and early method.

This must have been patched, because the enemies turn temporarily invincible after about 15 hits, whether from an axe, bow or spear.

I got this using Thorani, Kushi, Ajna and Tungar as soon as I got to the Iron Kingdom. The first fight I encountered was with those little green enemies (gremlins?), I spammed every characters down+attack move and ended up with a combo of 228 hits.

I ran into the temporary invincibility problem as well, but was able to get around it by using the spear to knock the first enemy on the right side of Port Maerifa back to the left, until they were in the same area as the next enemy.

With that setup, I was able to build the combo up quicker by sometimes hitting both of them with one spear, and if one of them turned invincible, I was still able to hit the other one, so it was harder to drop the combo.

There are good guides at here, I would like to put my solution.

When you get BOW at Fortress Vimana,
1. go to left when ZEBEI was in a jail.
2. Curiously you can see ZEBEI at there, stay next to him.
3. spam your cn_RB
4. the combo counter appears on top-right on your screen.
5. it pops when the counter stops.

And Indivisible has unique save data system. It maybe helps your trouble.
Check "Load Game" and move cn_LS to right, you can see bunch of your old save data.
If you're the all save point traveler, the best data is the 2nd of Fortress Vimana.

Hope it helps.

You can either wait with this till a little later in the game as there will be several characters hitting multiple times making this very easy to do normally or can do it outside of battle as soon as you get the bow.

You will get the bow very early in the second big location of the game.
Simply find an enemy that has a wall behind it or any other obstacle and shoot him cn_RB 108 times with the bow.

As others have mentioned, it seems they have patched getting a 108 combo outside of battle with the bow. The earliest part I was able to get the achievement was right after I recruited Kushi. My party consisted of Ajna, Zebei, Tungar, and Kushi. I fought a group of the grey skinny dudes. Make sure it's a group of at least 3 or 4. I used cn_RB to use Ajna's special while I spammed the down attack with Tungar and Zebei. I continued to spam the down attacks with the rest of the characters and I was able to get a combo with 128 Hits. If you can't get it at this part make sure to experiment with other characters. Some attacks have multiple hits and hit surrounding enemies. You will have plenty of opportunities to get this achievement.

Here's a tip from Schinderdiv. All credit goes to him for this method.

You can get this very early in the game, right after you get the axe, which is before the bow.

Right after you beat an enemy, swing your axe at their corpse and you'll juggle it into the air. As it falls down, swing your axe to hit it back into the air. If there was multiple enemies, it'll count for each enemy. Once you get 108, you can stop. Makes it easier if the corpse is next to a wall.

You can also get this before combat with an enemy by slide kicking into the enemy with Down + X over and over.

While this is doable after the fortress, you can actually obtain this IN the fortress. After getting Zebei's Bow for yourself, you'll come across a room with a lone guard. If you shoot him repeatedly against a wall, you can keep the combo going infinitely without actually damaging the enemies within the encounter. Once you've gotten the combo up to a decent number, initiate combat before it disappears and either add more combo actions up or let it go away. Once the combo counter disappears above 108 in combat (not sure if it requires combat), you'll obtain this trophy. Tungar's Down Attack gives you an insane amount of hits when the enemies are grouped near one another, as does Ginseng/Honey's mortar attack (think that's forward-attack?).

This is straight-forward, if a little daunting; simply get a 108+ hit combo. It sounds like it would be hard, but it's absolutely not. You just aren't able to do it until the beginning of Chapter 4 when you get your third Iddhi bar. Once you get it, it becomes very easy! When you're in battle with multiple enemies (which becomes the norm at this point), unleash Razmi's 3 Iddhi bar attack. Now, multiple characters can do this, but I found Razmi's to be the easiest. I've even reached a combo of over 200 with her and that was still in Chapter 4.

If, for whatever reason, you don't want to wait, there is a way to cheese this. Find any enemy that is near a wall and just shoot your bow at it (just tap  repeatedly; you shouldn't need to aim as it should be straight in front of you), juggling the mob in the air, until you reach 108. You can do this at any point in the game and with any enemy, but, personally, I did this early in Chapter 4 (in Almutah Sands). I'm apparently a little dyslexic? For some reason, I thought it was 180, so see below for a video example of this but with a 200-hit combo (which, just to iterate, you do not need that many).

NOTE: If the trophy doesn't pop right away, don't be worried. You have to stop the combo before it will pop. If you want to be cautious, you can add a couple more hits before ending the combo, but you shouldn't need to.

The easiest way to do this is to cheese it outside of battle. Once you get the bow or spear, you can find an enemy near a wall and continually juggle them (see the video below). That said, you will undoubtedly get this naturally. There are many battles where you'll fight small round enemies with large antennae and they usually come in groups of 4-6 at a time. Unleash attacks (such as Tungar's attack) that has a large area of attack, and you can rack up hits. Combine that with a large Iddhi attack (such as Razmi's 3-bar attack) and you'll get well over the required amount.
