This achievement requires 2 controllers. When playing a 2 player game, go to a save point and select Upgrade Cervul (or whatever it is you named him at the start of the game) and purchase the first 2 Pavise abilities for 1000 & 1500 gold. Travel to one of the towns and with the squire, equip the shield and hold up and then with the main character, jump on top of the squire’s shield and with the squire, walk back and forth for a couple seconds and the achievement should unlock.

It is unfortunate that this achievement requires another controller now to get 100% achievements. In a weird way it just feels like you got shafted if you don't currently have another controller available. It's a shame since every single achievement since the update can be earned without actually having a second controller available.
