How to unlock the Demolition achievement in Infinite Guitars - Definitive Guide

This is achievable on island two. This is the battle against Lupe. First time you see Lupe on this island is to rescue Barbatos the guy who will be able to upgrade your guitars from shard cores. After acquiring the rocket core, go back to where you rescued Barbatos. The overworld fight should start. Dodge the shockwaves and the missiles. The mechs weapon should hit the ground for the shockwaves. This is where you can hit the mech with your guitar by holding x for a second. Three successful hits and the achievement popped. You'll then be put into the actual boss fight. Good luck achievement hunters!

Can this be done any other time after this battle? I am already on island 3.

Where can you do this after you have already beaten the boss in chapter 2?

If you have beaten the game, easiest way if you miss any of these you can replay chapter 5 or 12. 5 for ch 2-4 bosses, 12 for ch 5-11 bosses. Ch 1 boss is not here, start ch 2 and fly back to the first island. Of course if you haven't beaten the game you can just go back to the boss area and beat it again, but that's sometimes a pain to traverse the map again.

This is the boss of the second chapter, on Laguna.
