How to unlock the No Attachments achievement in Infinite Guitars - Definitive Guide

Throughout the game you'll pick up plenty of useless items like the Broken Radio, which you can break down into EXP point by entering your inventory, highlighting them and pressing X, then X again on the character of your choice. However, if you want to knock this out quickly, then be sure to stock up on wearable items from shops, like Iris' shop on Laguna. These can also be broken down, and if you end up with 10 items at any point, you can make a save, unequip and break down all items (even ones you'd like to keep) then reload. By the end of Laguna I already had 8 items saved up without being super thorough, and even though some of them gave me 0 EXP when broken, they still counted towards my total.

I did try breaking the same item multiple times since they're readded to the shop once you break them, but it didn't seem to give me any more progress. Tough to tell for sure though, so if anybody wants to try it out, let me know!

Confirming that it looks like 10 unique items need to be broken. Got it in the 3rd area after buying shop items.

On the pause screen, under "Items" you can choose to press button-x.png when highlighting an item and break it down and earn experience for a character instead of hanging on to it. You'll collect a decent number of accessories to wear throughout the game (these appear as yellow stars in the dungeons), and you can also buy these from shops in the various towns. You can also technically break down your Infinite Shards but you do not earn experience from them, and you'll break down your entire stock at once and it only counts as one breakdown (so if you have 12 shards, you lose them all but only get credit for 1/10 toward this achievement). Leave this for the end of the game and just save, break down everything you own, then reload if you'd like. You likely won't need the experience, but then again you likely won't need the items either.
