How to unlock the Perfectionist achievement in Infinite Guitars - Definitive Guide
Couple tips for this:
1. This can be obtained on Easy mode for the Rhythm Game Difficulty setting. This setting is chosen via dialogue option when starting the game, but can always be changed in the menus, under Difficulty. (Easy mode allows for less notes/less complicated button-pressing during songs).
2. Any song will count for this achievement. In other words, it does not need to be in a battle. Any song that requires you to hit , , and in rhythm will count. This includes opening doors or activating the hand blasts via the guitar swords. I believe an old version of the game only counted songs during battle, but I obtained this achievement (and the one for one 90% sync) via red guitar sword door switches.
3. If you're trying to knock this out quickly, make sure you choose attacks other than the first (1/x) attack, Guitar Smash. That attack has you holding and releasing for damage and is used for the Critical Hit achievements. Instead, focus on always using either Ruckus Punch, Burst Cannon, or Fist Impact.
4. The songs the game has you play seems to be random each time you're required to play (battles, opening doors, etc). This should unlock for you somewhere at the start of the second chapter if you've been pretty decent in getting the 90% sync.

These achievements sound harder than they are. If you're playing on Easy difficulty, you will only ever need to use the and buttons during normal songs. If you go into Duet mode it will add some prompts with so avoid those until you get these achievements, despite that adding extra damage to your attacks. There are three types of notes that can be played, single notes which are just a regular square where you'll just tap the corresponding button, a "Hold" note where you'll hold the button, and a "Rapid" note where you'll press the button as many times as you can while the note is present.
Some of the songs in the game are extremely easy. I recall one that was just five rapid notes in a row and it was done. Others can be quite hard and have notes where you need to press + at the same time or have single notes directly after a hold note very close together that can be missed. You'll find enough of the latter to get through this fairly early on in the story though.
