How to unlock the Waste Disposal achievement in Infinite Guitars - Definitive Guide
This is actually able to be obtained on the first boss you face. I waited for the boss to use his beam line attacks and hit his hand that was on the ground 3 times.

If you have beaten the game, easiest way if you miss any of these you can replay chapter 5 or 12. 5 for ch 2-4 bosses, 12 for ch 5-11 bosses. Ch 1 boss is not here, start ch 2 and fly back to the first island. Of course if you haven't beaten the game you can just go back to the boss area and beat it again, but that's sometimes a pain to traverse the map again.

Helpful bit of info, perfect hits are when you hold down X button for a second or 2 to charge up before releasing the button. So after using the guide to properly dodge the bosses attacks, I performed the perfect hit 3x, once after each double beam attack. The battle then initiated causing the cheevo to pop for me.

This is the boss of the first chapter, on Makati. As the story progresses, the boss of each world will be marked with a skull on the map. These bosses can be fought multiple times, so these achievements are not missable.
The way these boss fights work is that you start on the overworld and must hit the boss a number of times to enter the normal turn-based battle. In this section of the fight, to earn the associated achievement, you must use only "perfect" guitar hits. To get a perfect hit, you must hold for about a half second until your character glows white for a split second and let go while the character is still white. This will cause more damage and get to the second phase of the fight more quickly. As mentioned above, the bosses do respawn, and defeating them a second time will be more difficult so it's easier to get this achievement the first time you fight them. Just save prior and reload if you fail. The achievement should unlock as soon as the second phase starts if you did it correctly.
Returning to fight each boss a second time is a good idea though, as you generally get about 5x the experience and a very powerful item to equip.
