Recommend doing this against a 2nd controller. Can simply login into another account or hit B at the sign in screen and chose the option to continue without saving.

It took me a bit to realize what I was doing wrong. Batman needs enough health that the initial hit from the Assassin Strike does not kill him. Get his health down to around the B in his name.

You need 1 bar of the Burn Meter. Hit Back, Forward

You need to select "ROBIN" as your primary character and "BATMAN" as the enemy character. Get Batman's health down a quarter left and activate "ASSASSIN STRIKE" along with "METER BURN" by inputting - Left + RIGHT + A + (R2 Or RT). If Batman doesn't have enough health left then Robins "Meter Burn" ability will not activate.

Best done with options set to Very Easy, 1 Round, no time limit.

You want to hit Batman with a meter burn Assassin Strike to KO him.

Make absolutely sure that Batman has enough health to survive the first hit. If he gets KOed by the initial strike, you can't hit him with a meter burn.

Select any mode you like, select Robin as your main character and Batman as your rival. Select any map and start the match.

Once the match starts, keep hitting your rival until he has around 10% of health left in his red bar, make sure you have at least one boost bar filled. At this point, using Robin stay close to your rival and perform the combo (having your rival to the right) (keep pressing ). If you see a quick white flash around Robin this means you have performed the Meter Burn correctly. Once Batman is defeated with the last hit of this combo, the match will end showing the trophy in the screen.
