How to unlock the Winning Is Fun achievement in Injustice 2 - Definitive Guide

Ranked matches are not only one match, they are a best two out of three three out of five every time!

Also keep note that you will not be able to decline the first opponent you find, so you'll be forced to fight that person every time. Boosting this is hard, I'd recommend you both search at the same exact time, and hope you find each other. However if you don't find each other, you won't be able to quit without the game giving you a penalty (don't remember what happens).

EDIT: It's been brought to my attention by Kerman7 that ranked sets are out of five and not out of three. Also you may sometimes be able to decline some opponents

Ranked matches are actually best out of five, so a fair bit longer and can take some time. In addition you will sometimes have the opportunity to decline a match, although I haven't been able to work out what triggers that option sometimes and not others.

Hmm, I honestly thought that they were a best 2 out of 3. But perhaps you can decline only one opponent each time you search.

It's not best of 3, best of 5 is what I'm seeing (which means first to 3 wins)

That would be 1 outta 10, you need to win 10 SETS not MATCHES

I found if the other person leaves aka rage quits it will not count.

Okay, I have a solution for those who are some what decent at the game (If you're terrible at fighting games this can become frustrating really quick).

Ranked is filled with really good players, but there is a chance you run into someone worse than you or of equal skill. (I played this game years ago and jumped back on to clean up some achievements.) I pick Star Fire, but any zone character will work. Simply find yourself a match and zone/ stay away from the other player until you win or they quit thus granting you a win. Injustice 2 is known for its various zoning characters so you shouldn't have a problem picking one that works for you.

If you run into someone stronger than you and don't feel like wasting time either quit the match or set your controller down until the set is over. This game is old and you shouldn't let the greater players frustrate you going for this achievement.

(Online)

This could be the hardest trophy to get if you’re not a good player, you need to win just 10 times in ranked matches, thankfully they don’t need to be in a row. Many players are really experienced and the more time the game is online the more difficult this turns, because everybody will have more experience day by day and your chances to meet average/worst players than you decrease every day.

Unluckily, trying to boost this trophy is nearly impossible because there is no kind of matching filter you can use to your favor, doing the match totally random.

Many characters are really good to use and their combos aren’t that hard to learn, but, like many things, you need to train your skills.

So that’s the best advice to give, train yourself with a couple of fighters you feel more comfortable with and stick with them all the time. Try to master the combos and learn how to break combos on you. Some players can hit you 30-40 times before you can even touch the ground but you can avoid this if you know how to break those air combos, the tutorials explain it very well, and your main objective is to use it in-game to avoid being shattered in a matter of seconds.

Sooner or later you will have your 10 wins and your trophy popping in the screen.

Update: Acording with KubaLenart you need to play in a new game mode called Ranked Sets. Read this.

Over Xbox Live, win 10 Ranked matches. Unless you can get paired up with a boosting partner or friend, you need to actually play this.

A rather boring trophy - you can get either an opponent 2500/100 or 0/20 (wins/losses) - not everyone can be refused, sometimes the game itself brings you down and starts choosing a character. If you think that you cannot defeat the enemy, when selecting a character, press O and X - this will take you to the main menu. But this method lowers your online rating (personally, I just wanted to get a trophy and paid attention to the rating, and as soon as the enemy was stronger than me, I left without hesitation).

We can choose an opponent whose chance of defeat is at least 45-50%. The rest are in the furnace.
It happens that an opponent 0/0 defeats you - pay attention to the profile level. The more, the worse.

In order for the trophy to count, you need to make 3 victories for 1 opponent, that is, if you have 2 victories and 2 defeats and you win 1 more time, you get +1 to the trophy. If you lose, the trophy does not count. Thus, you need to make a minimum of 30 winning rounds (score 3/0).
I had 10 wins and 33 losses The trophy was not counted right away - I had to exit the game, close it, open it again and go into online games, start one rating game - the trophy was counted.

To see your victories/defeats, go to online games, open the hero card, click and watch the rating episode.

Let me add - if the battle has started and the enemy leaves, then they will count the victory (which will count towards the count).

The easiest way to knock out with a partner is to enter the mode after 22.00. (more chances) and wait until he finds your partner. Many thanks to darkvados for the method and help

You need to win 10 one-on-one rating battles, you don’t need to do them in a row like in MKX, you can lose.

Nothing like this. You need to win at least 10 rating SERIES. This is already 30 fights.

In one rating battle, you need to win 3 victories, respectively, you need to play 30 battles, as written above. But most importantly, at the time I received the trophy on 07/03/2018, even if the enemy leaves the battle, the victory goes into your pocket, in the only case the victory will not count if the enemy left the character selection. Tested by me personally, Legendary edition version of the game.

A very strange trophy. It comes out strange. If in a “rating battle” your opponent suddenly switches off, then the victory is credited to you. It is recorded in the game statistics, BUT such a victory is not suitable for a trophy. The statistics said 10 victories, there was no trophy. This happened to my friend too. All in all..
One “rated battle” can consist of at least 3 rounds. You must win all three rounds. It turns out that for 10 “rating victories” you need to win 30 rounds. But they also count strangely. I got the trophy without 30 wins in the rounds, and the same thing happened to my friend. Perhaps the game counts victories in rounds of “rated battles” even those in which you lost. But again, the trophy dropped when I didn’t even reach 30 round wins.
