How to unlock the Pulling Overtime achievement in Injustice 2 - Definitive Guide
These events are found in the single player menu and then in the multiverse section. There will be 3 tutorial events which count towards the achievement progress. Once you have completed the tutorials you will be able to choose from a selection of timed multiverses that will expire every so often. Each multiverse has a range of different events of varying difficulty. An event counts towards your progress only when you defeat all the fighters in the event, if you fail it doesn't count. However there is one event that is against infinite fighters and counts as completed on failure, even if you fail the first fight!
Quick Solution (no rewards!)
The easiest way to get your 100 events is to go to the "Battle Simulator" Multiverse which is the planet furthest to the right. It has no expiration time so you can do this set of events forever and they all count. In the battle simulator section the furthest to the right is the infinite set of fighters. It has no completion rewards but only performance rewards for winning 5 or more fights but failing on the first fight counts as completing an event and towards your achievement!
Slightly longer but more rewarding solution Credit to VGM 007!
Choose an event and then when choosing your character press and cycle to an AI load out. Now the AI will play for you. This is very good as even a newb can beat the hardest multiverse events this way as long your character meets the requirements. Sadly you can't 4x the speed like with AI Battle Simulator.
The first solution is much quicker so if you just want the achievement go for it however if you plan on completing all the achievements you will be better off playing the actual events with AI and getting more loot boxes, at least until you find Catwoman's Cat-Call ability.

The Multiverse its located in Single Player option from the Main Menu and is one of the new features that the game offers, here you can play challenge ladders across multiple time-limited planets, some last only a few minutes and other last for some days, the difficulty varies from planet to planet and the requirements to join a specific ladder are also different between each other, per example, you can’t select some ladder if you don’t have the specific level with some character.
In fact, this trophy is not even hard to get, it's just time consuming, there are quite fast and doable ladders almost every time, ladders with 3 fighters and only 2-3 level difficulty.
It’s highly recommended you start with Battle Simulator planet located in the bottom right corner, here you will work with Spoiler Alert trophy in the same road because all this events work toward this Multiverse events.
After completing all 28 Battle Simulator ladders you just need to complete the rest of the events. So keep looking for those 3 rivals ladders and repeat them over and over again until the trophy for completing 100 events pops.
Of course you are free to play harder ladders but it’s really not needed.
But the best method to have this trophy faster is doing this (Thanks to djhmetfan2 for the tip):
"I have confirmed. You can play the Endless Battle Simulator in the Multiverse and lose 1st match and you get credit for completing the tower. This will not get you Mother boxes or any real XP but if you want to get the trophy without playing 100 full towers this is the way to do it."
Go to the Battle Simulator Multiverse on the planet to the far right of the menu. Play and complete any of the events in the worlds. The quickest way is to finish fights in the AI Battle simulation. Losses here count as completions, but you earn no rewards. Every other area requires you to win out (and get the reward).
We go into the endless tower - we drain the very first battle - profit! The tower was defended.
Yes, you haven’t received any experience, coins, or rewards - but this is the fastest way.
Repeat 100 times
