XP is ganed from almost everything you do in the game including story mode, S.T.A.R. Labs, and online matches. I gained enough XP to reach level 10 by playing to chapter 4 in story mode.

Playing through the story mode is more than enough to get this one

Pretty straight forward trophy, simple keep playing the game and you should reach the 10 level in no time. You need 25,155 XP to reach the 10th level. Please refer to The Hero We Deserve Trophy for more information.
