You will have access to the following races at the start of your very first journey.
-Rabbit
-Hare
-Dog
-Fox
-Donkey
-Snail
-Cat
Your starting Army will always contain two races. Rabbit/Dog/Fox soldiers and a special unit of a different race, such as Donkey/Hare/Cat.
You get the chance to unlock new beasts from winning Elite fights (swords crossed over a star symbol) and beating bosses or buying them from the shop.
Just make sure to always choose a race you don't currently have when unlocking/purchasing.
