How to unlock the Complete Game achievement in Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet - Definitive Guide

This is story related and can't be missed.

The final boss, is the boss this game has been needing. Less puzzle, more shooty bang bang.

Ok, it's a 3 phase fight. Start the fight by shooting the eye once.

Note - The only weapon you want here is the machine gun. Regardless of what your info beam tells you.

Phase 1 -

4 Stalks shoot out of the ground, spraying 100s of little enemies. Shoot the heads of the stalks one by one until they all retreat. Once they have, shoot the bosses eye.

Phase 2 - Trickier here. Two coloumns rise, reflecting lasers back between each other. The goal, is to wait for the lasers to dissapear whilst shooting down the missiles. When you get close, shoot the eye (as long as no lasers block your line of sight). You must do this step twice.

Phase 3 - The eye leaves the floor, and sits in the middle of the screen shooting little bugs at you. Your infobeam says use the saw. DONT. Just sit still, shooting with your machine gun (mine was 2/3 upgraded at the time). This kills all little bugs heading your way, and hits the eye.

Eventually the eye will start to move. Just keep shooting at it, and dodge it if it flies at you. Eventually, it will die.

Then, drop through the whole and charge the virus up to finish the game.

If this doesn't pop after beating the boss, fear not. Return to the main menu, and hit resume campaign. The achievement will pop shortly after resuming.

This achievement is somewhat glitched. I beat the end boss and watched the credits all the way through and even got the avatar award and gamerpic but not this 50G. Then when I dropped back to the menu and chose campaign, resume, it popped as soon as it put me back in the map. Weird, but at least it eventually hands it out.

For the third stage I did what the infobeam said and used the saw, and it was easy. Since the bugs shoot out in a straight line, the saw acts as a shield as you approach the eye.

For Phase 2 when dodging the lasers, i found it easier to use the shield to block incoming missiles. Good tip on Phase 3 though, i found it much easier to shoot him than use the saw.

For phase 1 I'd strongly recommend using the laser as it takes down the stalks fairly fast and blocks most of the projectiles coming from below. For phase 2, when I took damage or had trouble, or just didn't have full health coming into it, I'd hang by the top left of the screen and shoot missiles until I had full health.

This glitches for me too. I had to resume the campaign after the credits and then it popped!
