This is a story related achievment and can't be missed.
After the opening cutscene, you take control of your spaceship.
Head to the right to find the way to the destination marker blocked. Drop down through the tunnels, and take the only path you can to your destination. Grab the turret, and shoot your way out.
Keep using the map to check the pathways. Its very linear at this stage.
Keep going to your next destination point, and here you will get the claw tool. Use the tool to reposition rocks so you can make progress.
Head to the final destination point, which is the glowing sphere inside the flower. Use the claw on it, and pull it out.
Thats the homeworld complete, and your achievment will pop.
