This is a story related achievment and can't be missed.
The level is very linear, bar the side caverns where some concept art is stored.
Eventually you will end up at the Organic Zones boss.
He has four receptors, that the eye shoots a beam of light at. When his red beam hits the receptor, shoot it with your gun. It will turn blue. This has to be done four times, to remove all four barriers in front of the boss.
The first time, you have to turn one receptor blue. second time two, third time three, fourth time four.
Once all four barriers are down, the boss will retreat, and your achiemvent will pop.
