Support Runes are upgraded via “The Enchanter” who can be found on the right side of the village. There are only two upgrades you need to do
Level 2 costs 5 Motes of Insight and requires 9 villagers saved
Level 3 costs 10 Mores of Insight and requires 18 villagers saved
Motes of Insight are the purple orbs, you can actually farm them alongside Journal pages by fighting a boss and then Returning to the title screen after grabbing the loot!
