How to unlock the Multiplier 5x achievement in INVERSUS Deluxe - Definitive Guide
The strategy for this achievement is basically the same as "Multiplier Max" except this one is easier. Check out the guide for that achievement for some help:
Similar to Multiplier Max, I recommend the first arcade level, because it gives you the most room to move and the enemy patterns are the least challenging.
There's no quick shortcut for this, you do need to be at least all right at the game. Try to catch enemies that are grouped up so that their destruction spreads across the map. This both opens up space for you to move and provides you with more ammo. Try to keep stocked up with the faster/red ammo. If you find yourself idling waiting for something, fire a charged shot into the black tiles to clear more movement space for yourself and create more options later.
It's notable that your multiplier resets to 0 when you die (so every time you lose a life). So it's easier to restart the level when you first die, because the enemies get harder the longer the level goes on. (So trying to build up from a 1x multiplier is more difficult after you've respawned.)
The run where I got to the 5x multiplier took less than 15 minutes and I only scored ~160k, so this is attainable without even getting a 4 star score on the first level.
