Iron Brigade

Unmissable Storyline achievement. Received for beating the second boss.
I didn't bother with turrets/emplacements on this boss; the tentacles kill them too fast. Spend any scrap on repair emplacements. I used the Karlsson with two flak guns and 4 machine guns. I used the fortify+/quickload (Advanced Tripod) legs. The quickload isn't very important, but the Fortify was. Sit yourself down and shoot the boss when possible, the tentacles are a secondary menace. Ignore the aerials, unless they're all that's left.

Throughout the levels in Africa, you really can't go wrong with mines. Seriously, the mines kill everything and don't die themselves. Equip some flak and machine guns for anything left over. Hospital is a little different, you'll need sniper weapons, but it's an easy level overall.

Okay so this is me completing the level with a friend I pretty much focused on having one side of my mech-trench covered in machines guns. While the other side had a grenade launcher and a flak machine gun. I also like to used the quick reload bodies since it reduces reload times making killing alot faster (duh).

I was playing with a friend but this video should point out how easily this boss is with two players.

It could not be simpler shoot the weak spot for massive damage until victory. (The weak spot is its whole body) Simply wait for it to stop hiding after you remove a health bar then shoot it again!
