How to unlock the Shell Shock achievement in Iron Crypticle - Definitive Guide
Story-related; cannot be missed.
These four bosses appear on the four floors of New Game mode, but they are randomized to the extent that any one of them can show up on any floor. You'll never get a duplicate boss fight, but the order you fight them in is random.
I found all four of these bosses to be quite easy. Simply keep your distance from them and focus entirely on avoiding projectiles (and spikes, if applicable) while you fire in the general direction of the boss. The Peepworm is stationary in the center and is therefore the simplest to avoid. Strafe around it and shoot the eyes, staying back all the way to avoid any incoming attacks. The other three bosses are all mobile. Boulderface just does a square pattern in the center of the arena though, and is easy to stay away from. Just shoot into the center and this boss goes down quick. Gnasher and Hexapod both can "chase" you to an extent, but only for a brief period and they don't really pose a threat when doing so. It just means you might need to dash away to put some distance between you so you have an easier time dodging projecticles.
Regardless of the boss, the strategy is the same: keep your distance and focus on dodging while you just shoot towards the boss. No need to be aggressive and don't be reckless.
