How to unlock the Destroyer destroyer achievement in Iron Sky: Invasion - Definitive Guide
Hundings are the long thin zeppelin-like ships with four engines to the rear and various cannons mounted to the front and sides, on top and underneath.
Returning to the ISS (International Space Station) with the Canadarm will prompt a mission to destroy some enemies leaving the Moon. Change to the Xerg or Dundee and leave the station. These groups can be found by using the tactical map and moving to the Moon. There will be four groups of enemies, the two front groups contain one Hunding each. If your allies are around, marked with blue, keep an eye on the Hunding's health by pressing and then to cycle through targets. If the Hunding is being targeted you should move over to it and start assaulting it yourself. You will want to take out the Walkyr fighters and Wotans though as they will hound you and kill you if you ignore them.
To gain extra salvage and make things easier, use to target the Hunding's main cannons (the ones with 400 health) and then the engines first, this will halt the Hunding and make it easier to destroy.
In the next chapter, Chapter IV - The Last Fleet, there will be a Hunding accompanying each Zeppelin, the Tannhäuser, Walther, and Wolfram. Take them out making the count 5. After this there will be a mission to destroy the remaining Invasion forces. These consist of five groups of various enemies and each group has two Hundings. Use the previously mentioned tactics and take out the Hundings personally. You can quickly use the tactical map and press anywhere nearby in space to fast travel away and save the game should you get overwhelmed. Taking out five of these 10 Hundings will make your kill count 10 and the achievement will unlock.
If you still haven't destroyed enough Hundings there are two left when you assault the Götterdämmerung in Chapter VI. They are guarding the hanger door along with Kreutz's Capital Ship.
The "Hunding ships" are basically mini-zeppelins. They are very large but very slow. The best way to take them down is to take out their engines followed by their weapons and then relentlessly unleash what’s left. These ships are the only ones where you have to be careful and aim for the trophy - there aren’t many in the game and when you do see one, you usually have an ally who is shooting them too. In this situation you won’t get +1 kill for yourself if an AI ally kills them, so be ready to land the last few hits so you get the credit that you deserve.
You can check how many you have destroyed by pressing and then Statistics. The enemies you have killed will be listed in order from most to least.
All the trophies for destroying X amount of ships can be farmed, however the game creates a save for each individual chapter meaning when you load a previous save, your stats will reset to what they were when you've completed the chapter. If you follow the Roadmap you will not need to farm any of the kills, the majority will unlock during Chapters 3 & 4. This one however will likely be the last of the kill trophies.
Remember to check your map with if you want to actively seek them out.
