ISLANDERS: Console Edition (EP)

I noticed a few have managed to get this - xbox shows 0.14% unlocked. HOW??!! I also tried rapidly building in sandbox mode. That didn't do it either.

I think the "How" is obvious then...

By "cheating," I guess you mean hacking.

The number of unlocks seems to be growing daily. Call me 'helplesssly naive', but I'm hoping that they are genuine unlocks. It could be that we don't know what we need to do to unlock it, i.e. the description may be wrong...

Don't underestimate the amount of people that cheat off of TA

A perfect example of this is a title that I played back in the day but still keep tabs on:
Hellboy: The Science of Evil

Part of the original 1000G was put aside for future DLC - with one problem - they never even made it, let alone release it. Yet 7.46% of gamers have it unlocked

M point is we need a TA unlock and somebody who can tell us what is going on because the Microsoft percentages are hopelessly damaged by cheating

TA just posted rules on what qualifies as "cheating." At least the TA percentage of unlocked is still zero for this one because I guess it is truly broken. I messaged the developer about fixing it - probably won't happen unless someone in power is also an achievement hunter.

Given this one has basically the same description as the build 500 buildings, it's difficult to imagine that the requirements would be any different. But then again it's difficult to imagine why this 1K buildings would be problematic, since they didn't have issues with the others. It's possible they just screwed up the number in the underlying code so maybe it really requires 10,000 or 100,000 buildings. But I'm not going to endlessly play on the off chance that's the case.

Is it worth trying to contact the studio? I mean, it's not like they are a AAA studio, they might actually reply

I don't suppose that the (currently) 2 members of our community that have obtained this achievement would like to share how they managed it? Is it that I'm not a 'pro' member that I can't see their gamertags when I look at the completed list?

@Yum Biscuits, they are cheaters. They've been removed from the site, so you can't see their gamertags, but the stats have not updated yet to display the fact that they're not here anymore.

Really hope this gets patched. I wanted to play it but won’t be buying it while it has an unobtainable

Yep it's patched. Just start, place at least 1 building and lose to make it pop (if you have the requisites from before this patch)
