When you get into combat, use any of the Kai Disciplines found under the 
option. If you have enough Kai (blue bar), use a second Disciplines. At this point you can either get a kill and hope the 
appears for you to use the sword and gain back Kai, or you could use a blue potion to replenish your Kai. You can then use a third Kai Disciplines to get the trophy.
You should press Options before you are in a fight and check under Character Sheet > Kai Disciplines to work out which 3 cost the least, so you know what to use.
If you wait until later in the game, you should level up the Kai attribute enough that you wouldn't need to use a potion to use 3 of them.
