How to unlock the Little Shop of Horrors achievement in Journey To The Savage Planet: Employee Of The Month - Definitive Guide

Pufferbirds spawn very commonly throughout the world with many different variants existing. However Meat Vortexes are a little less common. As you explore the map you'll run into 2-3 just progressing through the main story. They are located several feet off the ground on any vertical terrain, with tendrils reaching out to cover a path usually hiding some kind of secret item (i.e. orange goo, alien alloy, etc.) There will always be Pufferbirds roaming close by them. The basic idea is you kick one of these Pufferbirds with cn_X into the air towards the vortex and once it flies close to the mouth, it will suck it into its teeth and grind it up, followed by it closing it's eye and mouth and retracting its tendrils opening up a path. Unfortunately once you feed a Meat Vortex you can't do it again, not even from revisiting one later or reloading your save. The only way you can do this is starting a new save, however it still tracks on other saves. There are several Meat Vortexes on the map and you'll likely run into them just playing through the main story (I got this achievement about 50% into completing the main story.) The best strategy is to always check around areas with Pufferbirds in them, however they're are very obvious so you probably will spot them without even having to look for them. Just kick the Pufferbirds in 5 times and you'll unlock this achievement.

Note: There is always at least 2 Pufferbirds nearby although sometimes 3 or 4, but if you were to somehow run out of Pufferbirds to kick at it in that area (Whether that be from a missed kick that result in them splatting on the ground or if they get kicked into danger ex: falling off the island, into lava, etc. , just teleport to another location through one of the teleporters around the map then comeback. This is highly unlikely though since if you even line up your shot a little, the Meat Vortex has a decently big area in which it will suck in the Pufferbird.

If the Pufferbirds just won't get close enough you can use bait.
