Aside from the mission requirements the key to S rank is broken down into two factors
1. Keep your health 90 or above, they will say you need perfects but this isn't true
2. Have a 100 hit combo in a round
The second one is the biggest obstacle most will find but the solutions easy. Buy Kenshiro's (fist of the north star) Hundred Fist attack. It costs very little charge and if it connects it will land auto 100 hit combo. The move works with your character puffing their chest out, if an enemy connects during that you can counter with the 100 hits.
